1. What is a cookie?
A "cookie" is a small alphanumeric text file stored on the hard drive of your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website or use an app. It stores information about your browsing in order to make your future visits easier, secure your login and analyse site traffic.
2. Cookies used across the CYB ecosystem
To ensure the proper operation of our CRM platform for barbers, the booking system and the generated showcase websites, we use different types of trackers:
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (exempt from consent)
These cookies are essential to the technical operation of the platform and the security of your data. They cannot be disabled. They make it possible to:
- Maintain your login session (authentication) on the CRM dashboard (JWT token).
- Remember your progress during sign-up (saving the salon name and chosen subscription).
- Secure payments during the subscription process via the Stripe API (anti-fraud security cookies).
- Save your consent preferences (so we do not ask you again on every visit).
2.2 Functionality cookies
These cookies improve and personalise your user experience:
- Remembering the interface language.
- Remembering the booking calendar display settings (day/week/month view).
2.3 Audience measurement — no cookies and no third-party trackers
We measure traffic to our own presentation pages (home page, demo, legal pages, login page) to find out how many people view them and which ones are most useful. This measurement is carried out by our own means, without any third-party tool and without storing a single cookie on your device:
- Your IP address is never stored. It is used solely to compute an encrypted, non-reversible fingerprint whose key changes every day: two visits made two days apart cannot be linked.
- Location stops at the region. Your IP address is matched against a lookup database installed on our own server — no third party is involved — to deduce a country and an administrative region (for example "France, Nouvelle-Aquitaine"). The address is then discarded. Neither your town, nor your address, nor any coordinates are determined or stored. This level of detail, accepted by the CNIL for audience measurement, does not make it possible to identify you.
- The technical identifier of your visit is kept in your tab's memory (sessionStorage) and disappears as soon as it is closed.
- The following are recorded: the pages viewed, the length of the visit, the site or search engine that referred you, and the type of device and browser. This information is kept for 90 days in detail and for 13 months as statistics.
This audience measurement is strictly limited to improving our pages. It does not make it possible to identify you, is never cross-referenced with other processing and its results are not shared with anyone. Accordingly, in line with the CNIL guidelines on audience measurement trackers, it is exempt from prior consent.
No third-party audience measurement tool (Google Analytics or equivalent) is used on the CYB platform.
3. Managing your preferences (Consent)
On your first visit to the CYB platform, an information banner lets you accept, refuse or customise non-essential trackers. You can change your consent at any time:

Note: If you choose to systematically block all cookies in your web browser settings, some critical session features (login to the salon dashboard, Stripe payment) may be impaired.
4. Retention period
In accordance with the recommendations of the CNIL (French Data Protection Authority):
- Cookies are kept on your device for a maximum of 13 months from when they are first stored.
- Your consent choice (acceptance or refusal) is remembered for 6 months. After this period, the cookie banner will be displayed again.
